The business unit of the Gemma Group specialising in solutions for the processing of aluminium extrusions has officially joined Scm Group.
This transition, which took effect on 1 May 2025, is part of a strategic development plan in the aluminium business, launched by the Rimini-based Group in November 2024 with the acquisition of a majority stake in Mecal Machinery, a recognised leader in the sector.
As of that date, the aluminium business previously managed by the Gemma Group is now directly operated by Scm Group and integrated with its subsidiary, Mecal Machinery.
