ALUPROF is launching a new type of external door, the MB-86N Pivot, featuring an offset rotation axis. Structures of this kind are popular with architects and are often used for projects where large-scale dimensions and original design play a major part.
Pivot doors are recommended whenever there is a requirement to ensure that an entryway is powerfully accentuated. The ALUPROF range offers glazed and panelled pivot doors and the offset rotation axis endows them with a unique look. At the same time, the concealed hinges provide a load capacity of up to 300 kilos.
The MB-86N Pivot Door system is made in accordance with contemporary environmental protection and energy-efficiency requirements. Similarly, doors produced using this system meet the requirements of the current regulations and standards. The MB-86N features excellent thermal insulation, with a UD from 0.73 (W/m²K), along with equally impressive acoustic insulation, watertightness and airtightness.
System characteristics:
» Large-scale panels measuring up to 2 m wide and 3.4 m high;
» Concealed bearing hinges with a load capacity of up to 300 kilos;
» Customised locking system with one or two latches;
» The door is based on ALUPROF’s existing MB-86N system and comes in three thermal variants, the ST, the SI and the SI+;
» Quick and efficient panel installation and uninstallation;
» The threshold can drain water to the outside and linear drainage can be installed. The same applies to the ‘0’ version.
